En la calle san Jorge se encuentra un gran edificio que nos presenta esta gran construcción del siglo I y el museo que nos ayuda a captar su grandeza.

En el edificio que nos da la bienvenida podemos ver la evolución de las diferentes culturas que han pasado por el solar en el que se enterró el teatro junto con personajes y escenarios importantes, hasta su posterior excavación y descubrimiento en 1973, gracias a un documental que se expone en una sala audiovisual.

También encontramos diversas piezas arqueológicas y una maqueta completa para concebir como era el teatro en sus días de gloria. Esta maqueta tiene una rampa que permite verla a personas de menor tamaño o a usuarios de silla de ruedas.

Podemos ver la grandiosidad de la construcción gracias a los grandes ventanales o recorriéndolo por sus alrededores a través de una pasarela y diversas rampas. 

La entrada al museo se realiza por una primera puerta automática y otra manual, y se pueden recorrer todas las plantas con facilidad, pues no hay ningún tipo de barrera física, y podemos pasar de una planta a otra mediante escaleras o por ascensor. También disponen de aseo adaptado. También dispone de audioguías y plano del museo en braille, maquetas táctiles y bucle magnético.
